    Beautiful skin

Vegan living results in healthy living, which in turn results in healthy skin. Many people that have skin problems, have the problems because their bodies are reacting to unnatural substances that they are being exposed to. The classic medical approach to curing skin aliments is to test for the presence of specific bugs and fungi, apply selective remedies to kill anything that is found, and then look for the cause. Often there is little time put into resolving the root cause because the sufferer walks away happy when the secondary issues are corrected. When time is allocated to identifying the root causes of the problem, the strategy employed is usually to begin eliminating unnatural ingredients from the mix one at a time until some conclusion can be drawn.

The following is an interesting article in the Huff Post. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/vegan-benefits_b_2919946

A vegan lifestyle immediately addresses the two most common causes of skin irritations. Firstly, the high proportions of natural food in the vegan diet, coupled with the low proportion of artificial additives, minimizes or eliminates the potential causes of skin irritations. Secondly, vegan beauty products tend to be based on natural ingredients.

The healthy eating that goes with a healthy vegan lifestyle results in vegans naturally having more healthy skin than meat eaters. It also results in vegans smelling nicer than meat eaters. This is especially noticeable when perspiring!

The second part of beautiful vegan skin comes from vegan skin care products begin based on natural ingredients that are kinder on the skin than the chemicals commonly used in the wider cosmetic market. The general cosmetic market is driven by finding the most cost efficient chemicals that can be used in the products, and then creating ‘scientific’ arguments on why they should be permitted to sell the chemical based on empirical results from studies when animals were invasively exposed to massive doses of the chemical in the laboratory. The dosage rates in final products are then scaled back from the level that injured the poor animal. This philosophy of product development seeks to minimize the harshness of the final product to within regulatory guidelines. Vegan beauty product development is a cruelty free approach and is therefore more gentle in every way.

There are many web sites that document vegan, cruelty free, plant-based beauty products that are kind to the animals, as well as being kind to your skin. Some are listed below:
