Many people take the decision to go vegan then become overwhelmed when they begin thinking about what they are actually going to do differently. At a simplistic level they realise they will stop eating meat, eggs, butter and cheese, and they will stop drinking milk. They usually share their decision with other people, and then myriads of advice begin to be poured onto them from every corner.
Most people find the key success factors in any endeavour begin with understanding why they took their decision, then seeing the decision as the start of a journey rather than a sudden change of direction. Look for people that have what you want, find out what they did to get it, and then identify aspects of what they did that you can copy.
Your veganism is a personal journey. You make all your decisions as to what is right for you, and you live by your decisions. No one has absolute answers. Keep this in the front of your mind and you are less likely to be distracted by irrelevance.
Most open-minded people continue to grow throughout their time on the planet, continually increasing their awareness of new subtleties in all aspects of their lives. They use thier new knowledge to refine their focus and become more efficient in the pursuit of their chosen goals. There is no reason your vegan journey should be any different.
Products founded in animal exploitation and abuse are all through every area of our lives. As you become more aware of this, you will refine your frame of reference. Without judging your motivations, we will continually be adding references to informational resources to this area of the site. We hope you will find some of them useful.
Above all, please be kind to everyone. None of us are here to judge others. In the end ‘we are all just walking each other home’ (Ram Dass 1931-2019)
